A Picture of Jesus

Heb 1:3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

He here in the passage is Jesus. Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God. What is radiance? Radiance is the brightness of light. So, the person of Jesus is the brightness of God light. This makes perfect since with the overarching story of he bible. How do we see the glory of God? Jesus. How do we know God? Jesus. How do we know the light of his world? Jesus. How do we know what is right? Jesus. Jesus is the bright ness of the triune God. Jesus is the exact imprint of Gods nature. If Jesus is exact the imprint of Gods nature, then, we can see Gods nature thought the person of Jesus. So what do we see in Jesus’ life that we can learn from? I see a life in balance. At times he was angry, other time patience. He was kind and loving along with stern and disciplined. He gave of himself freely but, set time aside for himself. Balance is what I see. I need to learn how to achieve balance. Jesus up holds the universe by the word of his power. What a statement. The word of his power sustains all life. We are living by the word of His power. The power of His world is what makes the tides move. The power of His word keeps the planets in motion. By the power of His word make s seed sprout. Wow what a statement to meditate on. The rest of the verse is great theology. He has finished his task of purification of sins. All of sin has already been defeated. All of the sin in the future are atone for. All of the sin in the past all of sin. All of sin is dead and gone, finshed, the chapion has come and won. Then Jesus sat down in the right hand of Majesty, the father figure of the trinity. He is waiting on the Father to tell Him that the end of fime has come.
